Ground Collective is back at it with an exhibition on the coast this time. Ground Collective's interest lies in finding objects and making observations from everyday landscapes traveled through, reconfiguring these discoveries into artworks, performances, poems and installations. They celebrate a slowing down and a closer scrutiny of things that are overlooked or forgotten.

Ground Collective consists of eight artists and a writer and for this project Jim Roseveare, artist and arboriculturist, is the collective’s invited collaborator. Their shared interest lies in finding objects and making observations from the everyday landscapes they travel through, reconfiguring these discoveries into artworks, performances, poems, and installations. They celebrate a slowing down and a closer scrutiny of things that are overlooked or forgotten.
Installed in Electro Studios Project Space (St Leonard’s on Sea) Uncertain Edges takes the gallery’s location, sitting on the East Sussex shore, as its starting point to examine the blurred and wobbly lines that attempt to demarcate one space from another. A coastline whose cliffs crumble and diminish on the one hand whilst mudflats are reclaimed and extend with accumulations of silt, on the other. The works, performances and readings resonate viscerally with each other utilising earth, found objects, photography, words, movement, and paint to navigate shifting concepts of space, place and identity.
